What feature would you like to see?

Title: Small UX suggestion: jump to the beginning of the current message

Text:
Hello OpenAI team,

I wanted to share a small UX suggestion that would make long ChatGPT and Codex responses much easier to navigate.

There is already a convenient button to jump to the bottom of the conversation. For very long individual messages, however, it can be difficult to find the beginning of the current response again, especially with long Codex reports, technical analyses, summaries, or detailed prompts.

A small contextual button such as “Jump to the beginning of this message” would be very useful. Ideally, it would only appear for messages that are longer than the visible screen area. A matching “Jump to the end of this message” button could also help with navigating within a single long response.

It is only a small feature, but I believe it would noticeably improve the experience for users who regularly work with long and structured outputs.

No reply is needed. I simply wanted to pass the suggestion along in case the product team finds it useful.

Best regards,
Jan
