Windows Desktop 26.715.31925 continuously flickers on Work page after update

What issue are you seeing?

Environment

• ChatGPT Desktop: 26.715.31925
• Installed from Microsoft Store
• Windows 11 25H2
• OS Build: 26200.6899

Description

After updating to version 26.715.31925, the ChatGPT Desktop application continuously flickers on the Work page immediately after startup.

Symptoms include:

• The Work page continuously re-renders.
• The OpenAI logo repeatedly flashes.
• The input box appears and disappears.
• Sometimes the application becomes "Not Responding".
• The issue occurs even before opening any project.

The ChatGPT web version works normally on the same machine. The problem only occurs in the Windows desktop application.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

1. Update ChatGPT Desktop to version 26.715.31925 from Microsoft Store.
2. Launch the application.
3. Sign in normally.
4. Navigate to the Work page (or simply wait on the initial Work page after startup).
5. Observe that the page continuously re-renders, the OpenAI logo flashes repeatedly, and the application may eventually become "Not Responding".

The issue occurs every time after launching the application.

What is the expected behavior?

The Work page should load normally after startup and remain stable.

The UI should not continuously re-render, the OpenAI logo should not repeatedly flash, and the application should remain responsive.

Additional environment information:

• Installed from Microsoft Store

Troubleshooting already performed:

• Reinstalled ChatGPT Desktop
• Repaired and reset the application

Renamed the %LocalAppData%\OpenAI\Codex folder.

• Restarted Windows
• Verified that the ChatGPT web version works normally on the same machine

The problem started immediately after updating to version 26.715.31925.
