The Review panel is non existent since installing this new version today

None needed - make a change to the code, docs say Review panel should be visible - it isn't

I ran into a similar issue and it was because in the top left, ChatGPT was selected instead of Codex. Even though I was in the same project, the ChatGPT version of the app has a different interface that hides many Codex features, I guess.
I'm having the same problem. fwiw the project I have open is on a remote box and is a subdirectory of a monorepo

UPDATE: restarting codex desktop app resolved the issue
