What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?
Version 26.715.61943
What subscription do you have?
ChatGPT Plus
What platform is your computer?
Microsoft Windows NT 10.0.26200.0 x64
What issue are you seeing?
Summary
The ChatGPT iOS app shows the "Set up Codex" onboarding and instructs me to pair with the desktop app.
However, the Windows ChatGPT/Codex desktop application does not show "Set up Remote" anywhere in the sidebar or Settings, so pairing cannot be completed.
Environment
- ChatGPT Plus
- Windows 11 x64
- ChatGPT Desktop Version 26.715.61943
- Same ChatGPT account on desktop and iPhone
- Codex CLI 0.144.6

Expected behavior
The Windows desktop application should display "Set up Remote" (or equivalent) so that a pairing code or QR code can be generated for the ChatGPT mobile app.
Actual behavior
The desktop application has no "Set up Remote" entry in the sidebar, Command Palette, or Settings.
The iPhone app keeps asking me to pair with the desktop app.
Diagnostics already performed
• Logged into the same ChatGPT account on both devices.
• Updated ChatGPT Desktop to the latest available version.
• Reinstalled and restarted the application.
• Verified Codex CLI installation.

This appears to be a Windows desktop feature availability issue because the mobile app already exposes the Codex Remote onboarding while the desktop application provides no way to initiate pairing.
What steps can reproduce the bug?
Feedback ID: no-active-thread-019f85d2-1329-7993-b112-9859d4ef8644
What is the expected behavior?
The Windows ChatGPT/Codex desktop application should expose a "Set up Remote" option (or equivalent) that allows the desktop to start Remote Control and generate a pairing code or QR code.
After pairing, the ChatGPT iOS app should successfully connect to the Windows desktop as described in the mobile onboarding flow.

I can reproduce this issue consistently on a clean installation of the latest Windows ChatGPT Desktop app.
If needed, I can provide additional logs or test preview builds.
