What feature would you like to see?
I often do ctrl+z while in Codex cli, execute some commands and the go back to codex. It would be useful if it automatically redraw the screen on fg and/or ctrl+l to force screen redraw (after terminal resize, etc.)
Are you interested in implementing this feature?
no

Thanks for the suggestion. This hasn't received any upvotes or additional posts in nearly three months, so I'm going to close.
so...how to trigger a redraw?
its pretty annoying that on fg there is nothing on the screen
Apparently this bug only occurs for people using codex on SSH'd machines.
@etraut-openai can you change this to a bug, it does not seem like a feature request or an enhancement to me

I tried dragging the window to have no height and then pulling it back...that resulted in this

some people suggest using tmux, I am but it hasn't worked for me

WORKAROUND: Pressing
ctrl + twill allow you to view things temporarily, but if you want to send more commands you have to exit this mode@Nintorac, feel free to open a bug report. Please provide repro steps and any other details that are relevant for diagnosis. And if you are so inclined, feel free to investigate further by cloning the Codex sources and doing some diagnosis.
TUI issues like this are complicated by the fact that there are so many different terminal emulators across many platforms, and each of them has different behaviors.
Thanks for the quick response!
I can - but this issue does contain all the steps, but to be explicit
ctrl zfgCurious to why this ticket hasn't got more engagement..is this perhaps something peculiar to my setup? or is
ctrl + znot a common pattern among devs?
