Shift+Enter keystroke breaks the line.

This issue is NOT reproduced when:
- Codex is not in tmux under VSCode embedded terminal
- Codex in Konsole

Thanks for the detailed report. Your diagnostics show tmux has extended-key reporting disabled, so
Shift+Enteris forwarded to Codex as plainEnter. To preserve the distinction, add the following to~/.tmux.conf:Reload your configuration with tmux source-file
~/.tmux.conf, then restart Codex.Alternatively,
Ctrl+Jalready inserts a newline without any configuration changes;Alt+Enteris another supported default if your terminal forwards it. You can also run/keymapinside Codex to choose a different shortcut for Editor → Insert newline, or/keymap debugto inspect which key events Codex actually receives.@etraut-openai
Thanks for the help! Unfortunately the given configuration does not appear to work at my end.
/keymap debugstill shows that Codex CLI only receives the Enter keystroke instead of Shift+Enter.Thanks for the workaround, at my end this keystroke toggles the bottom panel of VSCode but I can unbind the keybindings to make it work.
