Query Regarding Performance Differences in Codex CLI for ChatGPT Plus vs. Pro Tiers
Hello OpenAI Team,
I am writing to seek clarification on the potential performance differences for the Codex CLI between the ChatGPT Plus and Pro subscription plans.
Based on the available information, both the Plus and Pro plans offer access to the Codex CLI and GPT-5 high (juice: 200) model in it. The primary distinction highlighted is the significantly higher usage quota available to Pro subscribers.
My question is whether there are any other performance-related differences, specifically concerning the speed of request execution with the Codex CLI. For instance, does the Pro plan offer any of the following advantages over the Plus plan when using the Codex CLI:
Faster response times for code generation or analysis requests?
Higher priority in the processing queue, leading to quicker turnaround during peak times?
Any other latency-related benefits?
In essence, aside from the usage limits, are the requests from a ChatGPT Pro user's Codex CLI processed any faster or more efficiently than those from a ChatGPT Plus user?
Any insights you can provide on this would be greatly appreciated as it would help in deciding the appropriate subscription level for development-intensive workflows.
Thank you for your time and clarification.
