What version of the IDE extension are you using?
26.715.61943
What subscription do you have?
ChatGPT Plus
Which IDE are you using?
VS Code
What platform is your computer?
Darwin 25.5.0 arm64 arm
What issue are you seeing?
I noticed the ChatGPT app and the VS Code extension are usually synced, but I stopped a command from running in the ChatGPT app but it didn't stop in the extension. I didn't realize, kept working in the ChatGPT app, and when I went to go stop it in the extension, it reverted my entire chat back to that point in the app. Even the fact that I switched models after that had been reverted.
What steps can reproduce the bug?
Not sure, might be a unique case. The scenario is described above.
What is the expected behavior?
- Stop button pressed should signal to both ChatGPT app and Codex extension.
- Chat history should defer to and retain most recent chats, not override with stale process/chat.
