What issue are you seeing?
When a pet is enabled and Codex is left idle for an extended period, the app becomes severely laggy and almost unresponsive when the user returns.
Codex eventually recovers, but it takes approximately three minutes before the app becomes responsive again.
What steps can reproduce the bug?
- Open the Codex App.
- Enable a pet.
- Leave Codex idle without interacting with it for an extended period.
- Return to the app and try to interact with the UI.
- Observe that Codex is extremely slow or nearly unresponsive.
The exact idle-time threshold has not yet been measured.
What is the expected behavior?
Codex should remain responsive after being left idle, including when a pet is enabled. Returning to the app should not require waiting several minutes for the UI to recover.

The observed recovery time is approximately three minutes.
