What variant of Codex are you using?

Ap'p

What feature would you like to see?

I’d like to suggest adding a visual subagent management page in the Codex app.

Right now, subagents are powerful, but the configuration feels too technical for many users. A built-in UI would make it much easier for non-developers to create, edit, enable, disable, or delete subagents without manually editing config files.

At the same time, I think advanced users should still be able to keep using file-based configuration. So this would not replace the current workflow — it would simply add a more accessible option on top of it.

I believe this would make Codex more useful not only for developers, but also for heavier office workflows, research tasks, content work, and other general knowledge work where role-based agents could be very helpful.

A possible design could include:

Create / edit / delete subagents.

Enable or disable a subagent.

Choose templates or presets for common roles.

Set model, instructions, and permissions in a structured UI.

Keep the underlying config file in sync for advanced users.

In my view, this would make Codex feel much more approachable without taking anything away from power users.
