Windows desktop app does not sync Scheduled tasks and always opens to Codex instead of ChatGPT home

Environment

• Windows 11
• ChatGPT desktop app downloaded from https://chatgpt.com/download
• Version 1.2026.190
• ChatGPT Go subscription
• Same OpenAI account is used on both desktop and chatgpt.com

Issue 1 - Scheduled tasks

The web application correctly displays my existing Scheduled tasks.

The desktop application does not.

The Scheduled page only shows template suggestions (Daily Brief, Email Monitor, etc.) instead of my existing scheduled automations.

Issue 2 - Desktop starts in Codex

The application always opens into the Codex home ("What should we build?") instead of the ChatGPT home with my recent conversations.

My conversations do exist and synchronize correctly.

The only way to reach them is:

New Chat
→ View chat history

Expected behavior

The desktop application should display the same account state as chatgpt.com, including:

• Recent conversations
• Scheduled tasks
• ChatGPT home

Troubleshooting already performed

• Logged out and back in
• Repair
• Reset
• Uninstalled and reinstalled
• Tried Microsoft Store version
• Tried standalone installer from chatgpt.com

None of these steps changed the behavior.

The web application works correctly throughout.

What is the expected behavior?

The Windows desktop application should present the same account state as chatgpt.com.

Expected behavior:

• Open to the ChatGPT home with recent conversations, or provide a setting to choose ChatGPT Home or Codex Home as the startup page.
• Display the same Scheduled tasks that are visible on chatgpt.com.
• Keep the desktop and web experiences consistent for the same signed-in account.
