Feature request: configurable keep-alive for idle voice conversations
Problem
Codex voice conversations automatically end after an idle period. This makes the side-panel voice experience hard to use as a persistent companion: when the session closes, I have to reopen Codex and manually start voice again before I can continue.
Requested behavior
Please add an opt-in setting such as Keep voice session open while idle. When enabled, the voice session should remain available in the side panel without automatically ending solely because no one is speaking.
A configurable timeout would also work, for example: off, 5 minutes, 30 minutes, or keep open until the user explicitly ends the session.
Why this matters
For long work sessions, I want to leave voice open but idle, then resume naturally when I need help. Automatically ending the session removes that convenience and makes the feature less useful than simply checking the task manually.
Notes
I understand that normal account usage limits and an explicit maximum session duration may still apply. This request is specifically about avoiding a short automatic idle close and giving users control over that behavior.
