What version of the IDE extension are you using?
26.721.41059
What subscription do you have?
Plus
Which IDE are you using?
VS Code
What platform is your computer?
Windows
What issue are you seeing?
When I open the Codex Diff view in Visual Studio Code, the content does not load.
Instead, the view displays the following error message:
Oops, an error has occurred
Clicking the “Try again” button does not resolve the issue. The Codex Diff tab remains empty, so I cannot review the file changes.
Expected behavior:
The Codex Diff view should display the changes made by Codex.
Actual behavior:
The view fails to load and only displays the generic error message.
A screenshot of the error is attached.

What steps can reproduce the bug?
- Open Visual Studio Code.
- Open or use the Codex extension.
- Ask Codex to make changes to a file.
- Open the “Codex Diff” view.
- The view displays “Oops, an error has occurred”.
- Click “Try again”.
- The same error remains.
What is the expected behavior?

Having the same issue too. The Codex extension is essentially unusable in VSCode with this bug.

Thanks for reporting the issue. We have a fix in place, and it will be included in the next release.
Thanks, but in which version? Here on Github the latest version is 0.146.0, but in vscode I see a different versioning system 26.727.40816. I'm a bit confused.

Why is this issue closed when it's clearly not fixed in the recent extension update?

It started working for me in VS Code. The version of Codex extension I use: v26.5730.61309 (pre-release)
Still doesn't work in release version. You have to switch to pre-release. Can you release fix for such a basic feature?
