Request

Codex already renders a browser in the side panel. Please make that surface a first-class, maximizable browser workspace — for example, a Browser entry/tab near New Task — rather than treating it only as an agent tool.

The experience could feel like a focused full browser inside Codex: browser tabs, an easy way to open it, and a maximizeable panel, while keeping its connection to tasks and agent workflows. For users who want Codex to be their default browser, this would make the desktop app feel much more cohesive: browser + IDE + agents in one place.

It should also have browser-grade fundamentals, including native macOS passkeys/iCloud Keychain with Touch ID. That concrete issue and request are documented here: https://github.com/openai/codex/issues/31204#issuecomment-5084798402

Aside Browser’s password-management/passkey behavior may be useful inspiration, though the desired outcome matters more than a specific implementation.
