Summary
In the Codex desktop app on Windows, the action chooser opened while editing a Codex Micro keycap is clipped by the Edit keycap modal. The lower items in the scrollable list extend beneath/behind the modal boundary, making them difficult or impossible to see and select.
Steps to reproduce
- Open the Codex desktop app.
- Go to Settings → Codex Micro.
- Select a keycap to edit.
- Open the Assigned shortcut or skill chooser.
- Scroll down through the available actions.
Expected behavior
The complete chooser should remain visible and scrollable within the viewport/modal, with every action selectable.
Actual behavior
The chooser extends underneath the Edit keycap dialog and is visibly cut off around the dialog’s lower controls. Entries near the bottom are obscured and cannot be reliably selected.
Environment
- OS: Windows
- Product area: Codex desktop app → Settings → Codex Micro
- Observed: July 26, 2026
A screenshot demonstrating the clipped list is available and was included with the original support report attempt.
