Codex CLI login fails after switching to Plus

What steps can reproduce the bug?

I've been using Codex CLI using API key with no problem.

Then I decided to sign up Plus. ( No problem using codex on https://chatgpt.com/codex).

Signing in using option 1 got the following error:
