What issue are you seeing?
The Codex Dock badge on macOS remains at 1 even though the completed task notification has been opened and the task has already been viewed.
Steps to reproduce:
- Let a local Codex task finish while Codex is running in the background.
- Click the macOS completion notification.
- Verify that the completed task opens and has been viewed.
- Observe that the Codex Dock badge still shows 1.
- Open the task again.
- Fully quit and relaunch Codex.
Expected behavior:
The Dock badge should be cleared after the completed task has been opened and there are no unread tasks.
Actual behavior:
The Dock badge remains at 1 even after viewing the task and fully restarting Codex.
Additional diagnostics:
- macOS recorded that the completion notification was clicked and removed.
- The local Codex database contains 0 unread inbox items.
- There are also 0 unread automation runs.
- This appears to be a stale or unsynchronized Dock badge count rather than a hidden unread task.
