What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?

What subscription do you have?

What platform is your computer?

windows 11

What issue are you seeing?

When I select a section in the main chat with my mouse and click the “More Details” option, a side chat window opens and provides me with a detailed explanation. However, while the main chat gives a superficial answer regarding the code, the side chat works perfectly. This leads me to ask: Are there sub-agents that not only provide better answers but also excel in task execution, implementation, planning, and monitoring? In short, is there a set of rules that would allow the main agent to function like a sub-agent, or what should I do?

When I have an issue, I click the “Collapse” icon in the “More Details” chat that appears in the side chat. However, I can’t access that chat afterward; when I open the sidebar, I only see the option to open a new side chat—I can’t see the chats I’ve opened before. But when I’m in a chat in the sidebar and click “side chat functionality” at the top, I can see past chats. I’m not sure if this is my mistake, but there’s no direct access in the interface.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

  • In the main chat, select a specific area with your mouse and click “More Details”; you'll see the side chat open.
  • Minimize the side chat.
  • Now try to open the minimized side chat or find it in the list.

What is the expected behavior?

  • Easily access the side chat history list

What I don't understand is that no matter what topic we bring up, you say it's already been discussed... So what's the solution? Or is there an answer? If not, then you're just wasting people's time.
