[macOS] Arabic RTL and mixed English text render in the wrong order

What issue are you seeing?

Arabic responses in Codex Desktop are rendered with incorrect text direction and alignment. Paragraphs remain left-aligned, and sentences that mix Arabic with English technical terms are visually reordered. English terms, punctuation, and wrapped lines appear beside the wrong Arabic phrases, which makes technical explanations difficult or sometimes impossible to read.

The problem affects ordinary Arabic paragraphs, Markdown headings and lists, inline code, package names, commands, and other mixed RTL/LTR content. It occurs consistently in the current desktop build.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

1. Open Codex Desktop on macOS.
2. 2. Ask Codex to answer in Arabic.
3. 3. Request an explanation containing English technical terms such as Deep Learning, Big Data, Data Privacy, API, Flutter, or package names.
4. 4. Observe the paragraph alignment, punctuation placement, and order of mixed Arabic and English segments.
5. 5. Ask for Markdown headings or lists in Arabic and observe the same directionality problems.

What is the expected behavior?

Arabic paragraphs should use right-to-left direction and right alignment. Embedded English terms and code should preserve their own left-to-right order without moving to the beginning or end of the wrong phrase. Punctuation, lists, headings, and wrapped lines should remain in the correct visual and logical order.

The issue is reproducible on ChatGPT Desktop / Codex 26.721.81911 (build 5973) on macOS 26.5.2 (25F84), Apple Silicon. Pure Arabic text and mixed Arabic/English text are both affected. Unicode direction marks, directional isolation characters, Markdown tables, inline code, and explicit RTL HTML containers do not produce reliable rendering. This is a significant internationalization and accessibility problem for Arabic-speaking developers because technical conversations necessarily mix Arabic prose with English identifiers, commands, paths, package names, and code.
