ChatGPT Android: copying an answer also copies the ‘Processed for N minutes’ status
What issue are you seeing?
In the ChatGPT Android app, after asking a question and receiving an assistant answer/output, copying that answer also copies UI-only processing-status text into the clipboard.
For example, with the Indonesian interface, the copied text contains Memproses selama 2 menit (equivalent to “Processed for 2 minutes”). The displayed duration can vary. This status is interface metadata and is not part of the assistant's answer.
This forces users to manually remove the status and can cause UI metadata to appear accidentally in documents, messages, or published content.
What steps can reproduce the bug?
- Open the ChatGPT Android app.
- Ask ChatGPT any question that produces an answer and displays a processing-duration status.
- After the answer appears, long-press it or use the answer's Copy action.
- Paste the clipboard contents into a plain-text editor or messaging app.
- Observe that text such as
Memproses selama 2 menit/ “Processed for 2 minutes” is included with the answer.
What is the expected behavior?
The clipboard should contain only the assistant's answer/output. Processing duration, status labels, buttons, and other UI metadata should be excluded from copied text.
