Codex doctor report
What issue are you seeing?
I purchased a one-month paid ChatGPT subscription to continue using Codex. The paid plan is active, but my Codex weekly usage balance and
reset date were not updated after the payment.
The Codex Usage page and /status still show the previous weekly usage window. This means that the usage entitlement associated with my
newly purchased plan does not appear to have been correctly applied.
Please verify whether my account is assigned to the correct subscription plan and Codex quota bucket.

What steps can reproduce the bug?
Uploaded thread: 019dd2e0-7a8e-7861-bc66-8a775ddedcb4
What is the expected behavior?
The Codex usage entitlement associated with the newly purchased plan should be applied immediately.
If purchasing a subscription does not replace or reset the existing weekly usage window, this limitation should be clearly disclosed
before payment.
Additional information
Purchase/renewal time: July 31, 2026, at approximately 10:00 AM KST (UTC+9)
Status checked: July 31, 2026, at 10:15 AM KST
Plan reported by Codex: Pro
Current weekly usage:
- 93% used
- 7% remaining
- Usage window: 10,080 minutes (7 days)
Current weekly reset time:
- August 5, 2026, at 1:09:25 PM KST
- August 5, 2026, at 4:09:25 AM UTC
Approximately 15 minutes after payment, the paid Pro plan was recognized, but the existing weekly usage window was not reset.
The latest rate-limit record before payment also showed the same weekly reset timestamp: August 5, 2026, at 1:09:25 PM KST. Therefore, the
weekly reset schedule remained unchanged after the payment.
The Codex rate-limit metadata reported plan_type=pro both before and after payment. My concern is that purchasing or renewing the one-
month paid plan did not provide a fresh weekly allowance, and this behavior was not clearly disclosed before payment.

Thanks. #36082 appears related, but I do not believe this is an exact duplicate.
In #36082, the user encountered both an unsupported-model error and a usage-limit block in the Codex app after upgrading their plan.
In my case, Codex CLI correctly reports plan_type=pro both before and after payment. The specific issue is that the existing weekly quota remained unchanged: it still showed 93% used and the same August 5 reset time after I purchased a one-month Pro subscription.
If retaining the existing weekly usage window after payment is expected behavior, please confirm and point me to where this is documented. Otherwise, please investigate whether the new entitlement was applied to the correct quota bucket.
I will keep this issue open unless a maintainer confirms that it should be consolidated.
