I previously had 4 earned usage-limit resets, but the /usage menu now reports that only 1 is available.
The exact prompt shown is:

I did not knowingly select and confirm three reset redemptions. I had a scheduled ChatGPT/Codex project running daily, which may have reached the normal usage limit in the background.
There is no explicit error message. The issue is that the number of available resets decreased from 4 to 1 without intentional manual redemption. Please determine whether the missing resets were automatically redeemed, expired, or removed because of an account/client issue.

What is the expected behavior?
Earned usage-limit resets should remain available until they expire or I explicitly redeem them.
A reset should only be consumed after I select “Redeem usage limit reset” in the /usage menu and confirm the action. Scheduled or background Codex tasks may consume normal usage, but they should not automatically redeem stored resets without my confirmation.
If reset credits can expire, the /usage interface should display their expiration dates or clearly notify me before they disappear.

I reviewed the suggested potential duplicate, #36419. The core symptom is similar: banked usage-limit resets disappeared without intentional redemption.
I am not sure whether my case has the same cause. The Codex CLI did not show me the expiration dates or exact expiration times of the three missing resets, so it is possible that they simply expired without me noticing.
For that reason, my experience may also be related to #35578, which discusses confusion around reset expiration times. Even if everything worked as intended, showing the expiration information more clearly in the CLI could help avoid this misunderstanding.
For context, I am using Codex CLI 0.146.0 on Linux with a ChatGPT Plus subscription. I previously saw 4 available resets and later saw only 1. I also had a scheduled ChatGPT Work task running daily, although I do not know whether that is relevant.
