Microsoft Windows NT 10.0.26200.0 x64

What issue are you seeing?

Delete button is missing from Archived chats in the Windows app

I cannot delete archived Codex cloud chats because the delete button is not displayed.

This occurs in the unified ChatGPT desktop app, but it specifically affects archived Codex cloud chats. Please redirect or transfer this issue if another tracker is more appropriate.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

  1. Open the ChatGPT desktop app.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Go to Archived chats.
  4. View or hover over an archived Codex cloud chat.

Only the Unarchive button is displayed. There is no trash icon or delete option, either for individual chats or in the page menu.

What is the expected behavior?

According to the OpenAI help documentation, hovering over an archived chat should display a trash icon that allows the chat to be permanently deleted.

Additional information

This happens with multiple archived Codex cloud chats across different projects. Restarting the app does not resolve the issue.

Could you confirm whether chat deletion is currently unavailable in this version, or whether this is a bug or a staged rollout issue?
