What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?

Version 26.727.51351

What subscription do you have?

ChatGPT Pro

What platform is your computer?

Windows 11

What issue are you seeing?

I experienced unexpected credit consumption while using Codex.

Approximately $90 USD of credits were consumed in around 6 hours.

The tasks were similar to previous coding sessions that historically consumed significantly fewer credits. This level of usage appears abnormal.

When I checked the OpenAI usage dashboard, it did not clearly explain where the credits were consumed, making it difficult to verify whether this was expected behavior or a billing issue.

Please review my account's usage logs and explain what generated this consumption.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

What is the expected behavior?

Credit consumption should remain reasonably consistent for similar workloads, or at minimum provide a detailed breakdown of where the credits were spent so users can understand the charges.

Additional information

Please review the token usage, model usage, and any background tasks associated with my account during the affected period.

If this is expected behavior, I would appreciate a detailed explanation of what caused such unusually high credit consumption.
