What issue are you seeing?
In some voice chat modes, the currently active model is not displayed on screen.
This creates an expectation mismatch because the user may assume they are speaking with a different model, which can affect expectations about capability, behavior, latency, and response quality.
Steps to reproduce
- Start a Codex voice chat in an affected mode.
- Observe that no model name is visible.
- Compare with voice chat modes where the model is shown.
Expected behavior
The active model is always visible during voice chat. If the active model changes, the switch is clearly disclosed.
Actual behavior
Model identity is hidden in some voice chat modes.
Requested change
Keep the active model name visible throughout voice chat, or clearly disclose any model switch.
