Codex App: Dictation transcribes “Yeah” with no speech after updating

Issue

Immediately after updating the Codex app, voice/dictation input can produce the text Yeah even when the user has not spoken anything. This makes voice input unusable.

The Voice settings show the microphone set to “System Default.” The issue was observed on a Korean-language macOS UI.

Steps to reproduce

1. Update the Codex app for macOS.
2. Open a Codex thread and start voice or dictation input.
3. Do not speak.
4. Observe that Yeah may be transcribed/inserted despite no spoken input.

Expected behavior

No text should be transcribed or inserted until the microphone receives speech.

Additional information

The issue began immediately after the app update. The user is on a ChatGPT Pro account. A settings screenshot is available, showing the voice/dictation configuration, but could not be attached through this report.
