What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?

26.727.51351

What subscription do you have?

Pro

What platform is your computer?

Windows 11

What issue are you seeing?

I had 85% weekly usage remaining and I stopped using Codex but it was still running. It had no tasks running or scheduled. Several hours later I checked the usage interface and it said 84%. I asked Codex a single question about the usage and then closed the app. Several hours later I relaunched it and checked again and it was at 83%. During all this time I had no tasks scheduled. Either there's a bug in how usage is being tracked or shown, or it's using an incredible amount of usage for a single small question combined with delayed usage calculation for earlier work. All of this happened over approx a 12 hour period.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

I'm going to keep monitoring and not do anything in Codex and see if it keeps dropping.

What is the expected behavior?

Not a fix for the underlying drain, but if it helps triage: I built usage, a free menu-bar/tray app that graphs your Codex quota over time (reads local logs only, no API calls). Could help confirm/screenshot exactly when the drop happens for the bug report.
