What issue are you seeing?

After updating to Codex desktop version 26.730.61639 (build 6234), Fast mode is no longer preserved across app restarts.
Steps to reproduce:
Create a new task.
Confirm that Fast mode is enabled.
Send at least one message.
Quit the Codex desktop app completely.
Reopen Codex and return to the same task.
Expected behavior:
The task should remain in Fast mode.
Actual behavior:
The task is restored in Standard mode. Newly created tasks still default to Fast, but they switch to Standard after the app is restarted.
This also affects existing tasks and reproduces in the standard Codex app environment. My global configuration contains service_tier = "priority" and is loaded successfully.
Environment:
Codex desktop: 26.730.61639
Build: 6234
Bundled Codex CLI: 0.147.0-alpha.1.2
macOS: 26.6
