What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?
Version 26.730.61639
What subscription do you have?
Pro
What platform is your computer?
Darwin 25.5.0 arm64 arm
What issue are you seeing?
Whenever I update ChatGPT (once a day at least), on restart, blue activity dots appear on threads seemingly at random (but it looks like recent ones still). There was no activity dot on those threads before the restart: I would expect existing dots (if they exist) to be simply restored (so no dots before => no dots after the restart), but new ones are shown, even though I haven't used those threads in the last 12 hours at least.
Also there is no "Clear all activity markers" action, so I have to visit all the threads one by one to clear them.
What steps can reproduce the bug?
- Use some Codex threads. No dots.
- Update ChatGPT app
- Dots are shown
What is the expected behavior?
- Existing dots before restart are restored.
- Dots that were not there before restart are not created.
