You should be able to use 5.3 codex spark when you have usage remaining for 5.3, even if you are out of usage for 5.6

I recomend you use Luna 5.6 on medium. or max settings
it get job faster , and its fast, and its more adjusted to the new updates.....
the reality is you arent going to get the same juice out of 5-3
know that 5.6luna is 4x cheaper than 5.3
know that its 4x times better than 5.4medium
honestly I understand why you would want to use 5.3,
(seprated limits, and cheaper usage) moar clank for the nickle , thus, therefore - I recomend you use Luna5.6

Also seeing same issue. 100% 5.3-codex-spark usage remaining & I can’t do a single thing.

I can now reproduce this very clearly on a ChatGPT Pro account.
My Usage & Billing page shows:
In the Codex app, with 5.3 Codex Spark High explicitly selected, every request is blocked with:
“You've hit your usage limit. Add credits to continue, or try again at Aug 20, 2026, 5:33 AM.”
I then installed the official Codex CLI under WSL, authenticated using the same ChatGPT Pro account, and launched:
codex --model gpt-5.3-codex-sparkThe CLI confirmed
gpt-5.3-codex-sparkas the active model and successfully answered a test request (“Say hello” → “Hello!”).So the Spark entitlement and quota are working on the account. The same model works via CLI but is blocked in the Codex app by the exhausted general weekly quota.
I have screenshots showing the separate quotas, the app failure, the CLI model selection, and the successful Spark response.
