macOS Codex Desktop 26.730.61639 build 6234 leaks zombie child processes.
Observed:
total_zombies 4876
parent 40571 zombie_children 4875
Parent:
/Applications/ChatGPT.app/Contents/MacOS/ChatGPT
Impact:
After enough zombies accumulate, macOS fails to fork new processes with:
Resource temporarily unavailable (os error 35)
/bin/sh: fork: Resource temporarily unavailable
Chrome new tabs then fail to launch renderer processes and show blank Untitled pages.
Expected:
Codex Desktop should reap exited child processes and not leave thousands of <defunct> children.
