Codex extension in Cursor refuses to allow usage with Pro plan

What version of the VS Code extension are you using?

0.4.9

Which IDE are you using?

Cursor

What platform is your computer?

Darwin 24.6.0 arm64 arm

What steps can reproduce the bug?

  1. Have a Pro ChatGPT account
  2. Install the VS Code extension into Cursor
  3. Log into your ChatGPT account
  4. Try to use the Codex Extension
  5. Get the message that "To use Codex with your ChatGPT plan, upgrade to Plus"

What is the expected behavior?

Able to use Codex in Cursor

What do you see instead?

Am unable to use Codex in Cursor, get the message "To use Codex with your ChatGPT plan, upgrade to Plus"

Additional information

Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the extension, restarting cursor, and also logging out and logging back in
