What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?

26.803.41515

What subscription do you have?

ChatGPT Pro

What platform is your computer?

Microsoft Windows NT 10.0.26200.0 x64

What issue are you seeing?

After updating the Codex App, all content in the Projects section disappeared, and the Projects page became completely blank.

However, the conversations that were previously inside those projects are still visible under Recents. This suggests that the conversations may still exist, but their project associations or the Projects interface are no longer being displayed correctly.

I did not manually delete or remove these projects. The issue appeared immediately after updating the desktop app.

No error message is displayed.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

  1. Use the Codex App with existing projects containing multiple conversations.
  2. Update the Codex App to the latest available version.
  3. Open the app again using the same account.
  4. Open the Projects section.
  5. Observe that the Projects section is completely blank.
  6. Open Recents.
  7. Observe that the conversations previously stored in the projects are still present under Recents.

What is the expected behavior?

Existing projects and their contents should remain visible after updating the app.

Conversations should continue to appear inside their original projects, and updating the application should not remove or hide project information.
