[macOS] Voice bubble rendering corruption and truncated Bluetooth response audio
Summary
Since the most recent Codex Desktop update, I have observed two voice-mode regressions. This is a user-reported timing correlation; the update has not been confirmed as the cause.
Floating voice bubble rendering becomes unstable
Reproduction
- Start a voice session.
- Switch to another application while leaving the floating voice bubble active.
- Continue the conversation and observe the bubble.
Actual
Text becomes mangled or overlaid, while icons and visual indicators shift position or overlap.
Expected
The bubble should retain a stable layout with readable text and consistently positioned indicators while Codex is unfocused.
Impact
The corrupted bubble is difficult to interpret while working in another application and obscures the voice session’s state.
Bluetooth audio fades in after the response starts
Reproduction
- Select Bluetooth headphones as the Mac’s audio output.
- Start a voice session and request a spoken response.
- Listen to the beginning of the response.
Actual
Audio fades in late. The first sentence begins before it becomes audible and is partially or entirely missed.
Expected
Responses should be audible from the first word.
Impact
Users lose the beginning of responses and must request repetition or consult the transcript, disrupting hands-free use.
Environment
