What steps can reproduce the bug?
- Make some changes in VS Code using Codex Extension Chat
What is the expected behavior?
- Chat displays files codex is editing and when completed, shows all the files it changed and allows you to view changes.
What do you see instead?
- Codex does not show the actual files being changed or final changes at the end of its task. It simples mentions the files in its reply with links to the files.
Additional information
This started happening with the latest updates to the Codex Extension in VS Code.

I see the same bug
I think this bug is only when you use gpt-5-codex I had it yesterday too but I changed today back to the old gpt-5 and I sow the changed files as before. maybe its related to the model
yup, same here, showing diff on gpt-5 but not on gpt-5-codex.
I need it in the new codex model :\

I have this issue. Using codex in VScode. In the chat window does not show difference nor options to revert changes. I am working with jupyter notebooks with agent mode and GPT-5.1-Codex model
