Can't log in to a paid Team workspace
What version of Codex is running?
codex-cli 0.36.0
Which model were you using?
gpt-5-codex
What platform is your computer?
Darwin 24.6.0 arm64 arm
What steps can reproduce the bug?
When I log into the web interface of https://chatgpt.com/ with my google account (custom domain), then I can see both of my "accounts" - the personal one and the Team one (not sure what the right terminology is for this tho. Is it "account", "workspace" or something else?):

However, when I log into codex (via the "Sign in with ChatGPT" option in codex), and press the "Continue with Google" button:
<img width="393" height="678" alt="Image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/16dc2c97-2552-4f4f-aee4-e1e179b49f44" />
I can't select the Team workspace and I can only see my personal account:
<img width="540" height="530" alt="Image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/8de705da-ac50-4623-9b6f-d313b0276981" />
There's no way to select my workspace, as indicated in a comment to a similar bug report and instead I see this:
<img width="540" height="530" alt="Image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/554bb5b9-3139-4b52-a102-8a7a05720463" />
When I press "Continue", then I'm logged into codex with my personal account / free tier:
<img width="381" height="458" alt="Image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/091f059b-66f9-43c2-bf1b-118b66c302a4" />
What is the expected behavior?
I can select my workspace when I'm logging into codex with ChatGPT
What do you see instead?
I can't select the workspace for my Team subscription
Additional information
There's a strikingly similar issue at #1977 but the root cause might be different because the issue seems to have been fixed for some people, but not others.

Same. I wonder if the issue is "Enforce SSO log in" is enabled?
@peterjliu good guess! It's indeed caused by the
Enforce SSO log insetting.Disabling this (via chatgpt.com -> Workspace Settings -> Identity & Provisioning -> Enforce SSO log in) allows selecting the proper workspace when logging in to codex!
cool @tauntz!
I also solved my issue a different way.
I still have enforce SSO login
After merging my personal account and writing my email I got this. Even though I can use codex through web

After waiting a bit and retrying it actually worked!
Are any of you still having this problem with the latest versions of codex?
@etraut-openai sorry, I can't check it as I've merged my personal and team accounts
I suspect this bug is no longer relevant. I'm going to close it. If anyone's still seeing the problem, let us know, and I can reopen.
@etraut-openai Ran into this problem with 0.101.0, now merged my personal into the business account and can't sign into ChatGPT at all right now ("No eligible ChatGPT account found. Authenticate with SSO to access your available account.") - assuming/hoping this goes away after a few minutes.
Having the exact same issue (signing into a business account and getting private in codex). Why not having a feature where I can chose my 2 accounts (business and private)?
