What variant of Codex are you using?

Codex desktop app on macOS — in-app browser.

What feature would you like to see?

Please add support for macOS Apple Passwords AutoFill in the Codex in-app browser.

When a website requires sign-in, the in-app browser should be able to offer saved passwords and passkeys through Apple Passwords, like a normal macOS browser.

Why is this useful?

Without it, users must manually enter credentials or switch to another browser, interrupting work that needs an authenticated site.

Desired behavior

  • The in-app browser presents Apple Passwords AutoFill using the native macOS experience.
  • Passwords and passkeys remain private: Codex should never be able to read or expose credential values.
  • Authentication still requires user interaction and approval before any credential is used.
