What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?

26.803.61601

What subscription do you have?

Pro 5x

What platform is your computer?

Darwin 25.5.0 arm64 arm

What issue are you seeing?

Codex Desktop repeatedly reports that GitHub authentication has expired and asks me to sign in again.

I have completed the authentication flow multiple times (approximately seven times), but the same prompt keeps returning. The problem occurs while using Codex Desktop with local Git worktrees.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

  1. Open Codex Desktop and work in a local Git repository or worktree.
  2. When Codex Desktop displays a GitHub authentication-expired prompt, complete the sign-in flow.
  3. Continue using Codex Desktop.
  4. The same expired-authentication prompt appears again.
  5. Repeat the sign-in flow several times; the prompt still returns.

What is the expected behavior?

After GitHub authentication is completed successfully, Codex Desktop should retain or refresh the authentication session.

GitHub authentication should not unexpectedly expire or repeatedly require the user to sign in during normal use.
