What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?
26.803.81509
What subscription do you have?
Plus
What platform is your computer?
Linux 7.0.0-29-generic aarch64 unknown
What issue are you seeing?
In the ChatGPT Linux desktop app, selecting a conversation from history search (Ctrl+K) opens it as a Side Chat rather than opening the conversation in the main window.
Also, there appears to be no “Open in main window” action for the resulting Side Chat.
What steps can reproduce the bug?
Feedback ID: no-active-thread-01a01555-c231-7af2-9f6c-650a1c1f6d17
What is the expected behavior?
Selecting a history search result should behave the same as selecting that conversation from the normal chat history/sidebar, i.e. navigate the main window to that conversation. This is also how chat-history search behaves in the web app.

- Selecting a history-search result opens the conversation in Quick Chat instead of the main window, with no “Open in main window” action.
- The reporter says this appears to be “the same routing/navigation issue” as the Linux report.

I can reproduce the same issue on the Windows ChatGPT app.
App version: 26.818.21641
Subscription: ChatGPT Plus
Platform: Microsoft Windows NT 10.0.26200.0 x64

Behavior:
Expected behavior:
Selecting a history-search result should navigate the main window to that conversation, the same way selecting the chat from the normal sidebar does.
This appears to be the same routing/navigation issue reported here, but on Windows rather than Linux.
