install codex on ubuntu 20
Enter as first prompt: doesnotexist.png
Crash. Discovered when trying to describe a file name in another directory.
What is the expected behavior?
It should not crash when I enter an image filepath that doesn't exist, so I can describe filenames.
What do you see instead?

Looks like a bug! Would accept a PR with the fix.
Fixed in https://github.com/openai/codex/pull/397
