What steps can reproduce the bug?

  1. Use install.sh to install an old version of Codex CLI.
  2. Run codex update to update the Codex CLI.
  3. see the install path ~/.codex/packages/standalone/releases, the older package and latest package both in the path.

What is the expected behavior?

Remove the older packages after new version installed.
