use 0.39.0
submit a multistep task, or difficult task
Codex stop after a short period, say it’s doing same job while nothing is actually done
Switch back to 0.38.0 largely fix this problem

There aren't really any agent changes between 0.38 and 0.39. Could you provide more information about the session that was failing?
Thank you. I don't use codex recently.
May because there are some issues with the model, not the CLI. Or because I was chatting with the model in Chinese.
codex updated many times recently, I'll reopen this if I can reproduce it with latest version
