Archive chat does nothing and there is no option to delete chats

Platform:

• ChatGPT/Codex desktop app

Description:
The chat menu does not include an option to permanently delete a chat. More importantly, selecting “Archive” produces no visible result: the chat remains in the active list.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open the Codex desktop app on Windows.
2. Open the menu for any chat in the sidebar.
3. Confirm that there is no “Delete” option.
4. Select “Archive”.
5. Observe that the chat remains visible and no change occurs.

Expected behavior:
Selecting “Archive” should remove the chat from the active list and move it to Settings > Archived chats. There should also be a way to permanently delete unwanted chats, or the interface should clearly explain that deletion is unavailable.

Actual behavior:
The Archive action has no visible effect, and no Delete option is available.

Frequency:
Reproducible when attempting to archive a chat.
