I get the following trying any prompt.

Same here:
Version 149.0
codex_models_manager::manager: failed to refresh available models: unexpected status 401 Unauthorized: {"detail":"Unauthorized"}, url: https://chatgpt.com/backend-api/codex/models?client_version=0.149.0

Extra details:

  • I have codex still working on a second vm.
  • Log out --> delete auth.json --> delete cache directory --> log in --> Same error.
  • Downgrade to 0.148.0 --> Works fine, didn't even have to login again.

I have downgraded the vscode extension has continuously downgraded to the corresponding version as shown in the figure, all reporting Codex process errored: Codex process is not available
