What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?

Latest

What subscription do you have?

Pro

What platform is your computer?

WIN11

What issue are you seeing?

Codex Desktop on Windows uses the same taskbar icon as ChatGPT.

I have both ChatGPT and Codex pinned/open in the Windows taskbar, and they are visually indistinguishable because both show the OpenAI swirl icon. This makes it hard to switch between them.

From the Codex MSIX manifest, Codex also appears to identify itself as "ChatGPT" and runs app/ChatGPT.exe, with ChatGPT/OpenAI logo assets. Codex should have a distinct Windows app name, AppUserModelID, executable identity, and taskbar icon.

Platform: Windows 11
Expected: Codex has its own recognizable taskbar icon, different from ChatGPT.
Actual: Codex and ChatGPT show the same icon.
