What version of the Codex App are you using (From “About Codex” dialog)?

26.818.41509

What subscription do you have?

Pro Plus

What platform is your computer?

Mac Tahoe 26.6.2

What issue are you seeing?

The Codex Chrome extension can read the selected tab’s text, but Codex cannot click, type, or otherwise interact with the page. Interactive browser-control tools are not exposed, even though the extension and native host are installed and connected. Reinstalling the plugin and fully restarting Codex and Chrome did not resolve it. Feedback ID: 01a02a72-cb7f-7510-a507-855f5dc57343

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Feedback ID: 01a02a72-cb7f-7510-a507-855f5dc57343

What is the expected behavior?

Codex should connect to the selected Chrome tab and expose interactive browser controls, allowing it to click, type, navigate, and verify the resulting page state.

The selected HTTPS page loads normally, and Codex can read its complete text through the Chrome extension. Only interactive control is missing. OpenAI and Guesty showed no active service outages during testing.

This appears related to issue #21908.
