I’d like a native scheduling feature in the Codex CLI, or, alternatively, in ChatGPT Desktop, to use with SSH connections.

What variant of Codex are you using?

App and CLI

What feature would you like to see?

Currently, the Schedule feature in the Codex app of the ChatGPT desktop client works only for local projects and doesn’t support remote projects accessed via SSH. I often work with remote projects on external servers. In the ChatGPT Desktop app I connect via SSH, or I use Codex through the CLI on those remote projects.

At the moment, I create cron jobs that run codex exec with a prompt that would trigger the Schedule. It would be much more convenient to have this capability directly in ChatGPT Desktop or the Codex CLI, rather than launching Chrome on the remote server from my computer. I’d like a native Schedule feature that works without needing a makeshift workaround to mimic the desktop app’s Schedule.
