What feature would you like to see?

codex now could resume a preview session by running codex resume, where resume is a subcommand. I wish resume could also be a slash command /resume, which could be used when I'm in the TUI and bored/done with the current session and want to resume a previous session. The logic could be shared with the subcommand.

Yes, I have a draft patch.

Claude Code has this feature and it's really convenient.

Please add an in-session /resume command to Codex CLI, matching Claude Code’s workflow. codex resume <session-id> works, but only after leaving the current session; this makes switching to a saved session unnecessarily disruptive.\n\nRequested behavior:\n- /resume opens the existing resume picker in the current workspace.\n- /resume <session-id> switches directly to that saved session.\n\nThis would let users decide to resume another session without first exiting the active TUI.
