Codex not able to write in files in full auto mode

What platform is your computer?
Linux 5.15.167.4-microsoft-standard-WSL2 x86_64 unknown - Manjaro for wsl
What steps can reproduce the bug?
pretty simple i just ask it to write something in a file and it's not able to however it is able to read, delete and create files and dirs
What is the expected behavior?
to simply create a file

I also encountered this problem
It also doesn't write to files in normal mode.
codex -m gpt-4.1
What's even weirder is, that it - sometimes - doesn't apply patches, but it sometimes does write them. I've been using latest from GitHub and built it myself, then it did edits on files on 1 try out of 3.
