It seems there’s an issue in version 0.40.0.
I didn’t make many request, but I immediately hit the limit.
I have the same problem.
Thanks for flagging this! Couple things:
Why are some users not experiencing the same rate limit to others not experiencing a rate limit? Also the week rate limit is a bit harsh and same copying anthropic and users are not using claude code as much anymore because why pay for a month and can only use the ai for 2 weeks out of the month.
I am on a Plus subscription.
I encountered a 5-hour limit.
What I don’t understand is that after the 5-hour limit was lifted, I sent a message a few hours later, and immediately the limit was triggered again.
Not a single request was processed.
This problem only started happening after the update to version 0.40.0.
For reference, I have two Plus accounts, and after the upgrade, both accounts hit the limit right away after sending just one message.
We have continued to make improvements here and haven't heard more reports of similar issues, so I'm going to close this, but please re-open an issue if you see this again.
